Transformation

The transformation or morphing effect allows the processing of a sequence of frames showing the transition from one image to another.

The necessary frames must be generated beforehand in an image editing programme or in specific programmes for creating morphing.

The transformation from one image to another depends on the designer’s style. We can create transition frames in multiple ways:

♦ From creating a smooth transition of opacities using an image editing programme.

♦ To generating frames with more powerful transitions using anchor point tools.

This type of effect is normally applied to complete images in which the most critical parts (in the case of the example in this section: eyes, mouth, nose, etc.) are the key elements of the transformation.

Before creating a morph, it is necessary to correctly position the two images we want to transform, matching the key points of the two images in the same or a similar position.

Enhance the transformative effect by working with the right images.
